(the worst thing I’ve ever been
is an accident)

my words have no filter and I am
too many apologies bound
together by the stringent belief
tomorrow is worth more than today—

remember that summer when I was
beautiful? all covered in amber fog
and delivered like a dream. I was
a porcelain promise, a lavender
whisper, a breathtaking cancer,
and so many other precious things

I just want to go back to that
time where I was unmolded by
mistakes and words unsaid
(it was never you

I have spent too long trying
to drain out every tear from
the ocean, my love,

simple tasks are for the
weak of heart, it was
never you)

I am still beautiful at night:
a perfect collision on a road
going nowhere, (please

do me one last favor
and remember me.)
because sometimes I'm sorry is the same as goodbye.

This is... wow. You've done it again! Those first two stanzas are such an amazing hook and
"(please
do me one last favor
and remember me.)"
is such a perfect ending.

This is really impressive work.

Very often, when I read your work I come to think that you are 'a lavender whisper' gracefully resonating in a summer breeze, seemingly innocuous, but actually lodging 'a breathtaking cancer' into peoples' minds... more than that, I am sure that you are 'so many other precious things' that nobody yet has had the lingual capacity to tell you just in how many ways you are yourself a very precious thing... I sure lack this capacity as well - all I know is, that reading your poetry is the sole occasion upon which I still sometimes feel some kind of twitch inside a long dead lump of flesh caged inside the left side of my chest.

Immediately from the first stanza, I knew this was going to be good.

And it was.

It's so realistic and painful. And I honestly teared up a bit at the description--"because sometimes I'm sorry is the same as goodbye."

A lot of people wouldn't know it, but those words and the first stanza describe me completely. I just tend to hide it.

Dammit, girl, stop being so supercalifragilisticexpialidocious with yours ways of managing to write stuff that speaks to me on more levels than I want to admit.

Oh sweet Jesus. This reached out of the page, grabbed my heart and my mind and reeled me deep into the sea of your magnificent words.

"I was
a porcelain promise, a lavender
whisper, a breathtaking cancer,
and so many other precious things"

I so love the way you included cancer as a precious thing. This has just the right amount of beauty and death.

"I am
too many apologies bound
together by the stringent belief
tomorrow is worth more than today"

Simply heart-rending. wonderfully said.

Favorite lines:
"I am still beautiful at night:
a perfect collision on a road
going nowhere"

I dont know where you come up with things like this, but please, never stop. This could easily be my new favorite poem.
